Community Day at R-MC: Fun and Fellowship

Community Day at R-MC: Fun and Fellowship

Randolph-Macon College student organization One Change (formerly Brothers for Change) hosted Community Day on March 16, 2013. The day-long event took place in the Brock Sports and Recreation Center. Terry Clark II ’13 serves as president of One Change.

Children ages 5-17 joined One Change members for a day of games, sports, food and fellowship. Participants also had the opportunity to tour the R-MC campus. This year’s guest speaker was NAACP Deacon LaSalle McCoy.

The mission of One Change, which was founded in 2005, is to promote leadership, diversity and responsibility. Community service is one of the group’s primary goals.

Each year, One Change members present Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gifts to families in need and rake leaves for elderly citizens. One Change also has an afterschool mentorship program at Henry Clay Elementary School in Hanover County.
