Kings Dominion ride reopened after incident
News

DOSWELL, VA (WWBT)- A Kings Dominion roller coaster is back open after being shut down due to an incident on Friday.

Kings Dominion conducted additional safety checks over the weekend and found no operational issues with Dominator.

On Friday, a guest was found unresponsive on the ride's loading area and taken to the hospital.

A Hanover County inspector came out on Saturday, but found no issues with the ride, according to park spokesman Gene Petriello.

The Dominator has been open since 2008 with speeds that reach up to 65 miles per hour. It's a ride where your feet dangle. Kings Dominion reps say it has the world's largest vertical loop.
